Why designer handbags worth the money?

- Designer handbags are well made and intended to last for many years. Stores like Louis Vuitton even offer an ongoing service for some purchases. When you buy a handbag and you will be told to bring it back every so often to have it buffed.

-Purchase a bag from iconic designer stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel or Prada and even the packaging has a financial value. I've been on online auction sites like ebay and seen the ribbon, boxes and bags these handbags come in for auction and receiving bids. You aren't just buying a handbag your buying an image.

-When you purchase something expensive you tend to value it and look after it. Some examples being a new car or expensive jewelry. The same will probably apply with a designer handbag. If you appreciate it you will store it in its dust bag and take care whilst using it. In contrast you are probably more likely to throw your $20 handbag into the bottom of the wardrobe. This is an additional reason why your designer handbag should last for longer.

-People have found quilted Chanel handbags buried deep in their grandmother's closet and found them to be worth several hundred dollars decades on. Designer goods end up attracting high vintage price tags. Due to inflation they may be worth more then what was originally spent on them.

Longchamp Tote

The Longchamp Le Pliage bags have been quite popular. I did some research on it, and the followings are the findings:
What I like:
  • light-weight
  • water-resistant (I love that it keeps all bag contents dry during rain/snow)
  • shoulder strap is super comfortable even when the bag is full and heavy
  • medium and large sizes hold so much!
medium=great for everyday use, large=perfect as a carry-on bag for travel
  • folds up into a flat, compact size
(effortlessly fits in your suitcase for an extra purse to choose from when on vacation!)
  • low-maintenence care (easy to clean)
  • simple, logo-less design
  • high-quality leather straps/embossed detailing add sophistication to an otherwise plain tote
  • versatile: looks great with a casual outfit, yet still appropriate for a more polished look
  • available in many different styles/sizes/strap lengths
What I don't like:
  • only one large compartment and a small (virtually useless) compartment
  • lacks structure/may appear flat if you don’t have a lot of stuff inside
  • pricey if bought at retail price
  • very popular bag. You will see a lot of people carry the same bag as you
